In 1738, Georg Philipp Telemann published 18 canons for two equal instruments arranged into six three-movement sonatas. The Telemann Works Catalog gives these the numbers 40:118-123.
The final Allegra from the first sonata is quite famous. The second player starts one bar after the first player and ends one bar before the end. I have provided two versions of the first part: one slow and one faster. Play along with the first part, then play the second part.
There is a four-bar count-in.
